As a licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) Association, we’ve provided families with the security and stability that comes with a Blue plan. Our Southeastern PA BCBS network has more than 46,000 doctors and 160 hospitals to choose from — the widest choice for quality care in the Philadelphia five-county region.
Who Can Apply For Independence Blue Cross Health Insurance?
Individuals and families in the Philadelphia five-county region (Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, and Chester counties) can apply for affordable coverage from Independence Blue Cross during Open Enrollment, which takes place from November 1 through December 15, 2017 for coverage in 2018. Since Open Enrollment for 2017 health care coverage has ended, you may still be eligible to enroll in a health plan during the Special Enrollment Period if you have a Qualifying Life Event. A Qualifying Life Event is a change in circumstance that may allow you to enroll in coverage outside of the annual Open Enrollment Period.
