Types of plans

Copay plans

  • They are available as an HMO or PPO.
  • You pay a fixed copay for most services.

You want predictability when it comes to budgeting your medical costs and the comfort of knowing that most services are covered by a set dollar amount.

Deductible plans

  • These plans typically have a midrange monthly premium.
  • They are available as an HMO or PPO.
  • You pay a copay for checkups and exams.
  • The deductible only applies to services you’re less likely to use, such as hospital and emergency care.

Affordability is your biggest concern. You want to pay a set dollar amount for doctor visits, and are willing to pay a deductible for services you’re less likely to use.

Health Savings Account (HSA) plans

  • These plans typically have the lowest monthly premium.
  • They are available as a PPO.
  • You can save money by opening a tax-free account to pay for medical bills.
  • Your deductible and coinsurance costs are based on our discounted rates, not the provider’s full cost.
